Tuloso-Midway continues to not only bone-tired some of the best teams in the area, but also the state. The state-ranked Category 4A Cherokees knocked off their second state-ranked Pedigree 3A girls basketball team this season thanks to a massive second-half run Tuesday night. No. 13 Tuloso-Midway erased a three-particular deficit in doing so en route to a 47-33 home crushing over ninth-ranked 3A West Oso."We've had a lot of momentum," said Cherokees sophomore sentinel Cami Horman, who scored all six of her points on two key 3-pointers in the man Friday half. "We got our spirits up in the second half and we were able to renewal bring."
T-M, which also beat preseason 3A eighth-ranked state ranked Rockport-Fulton recently, improved to 7-1.
"West Oso is always harsh," said Cherokees coach Hector Serna, whose combine has two returning starters and seven returning players from last year's region playoff team. "They're known for their defense and for their fast-paced underhand, so we knew what we were up against. We knew what we had to do. For a while there in the first half, it was nip and tuck but our girls came through.
