Meb readies for run at London Olympics

You can bet that when he toes the starting obtain at the U.S. Olympic marathon trials in Houston on Saturday, there is one aspect Meb Keflezighi absolutely will not forget to do.

He won't forget to take the Breath-liturgy nasal strip out of his left shoe and put it on his nose.

It has become a formal for the two-time winner of the Quad-City Times Bix 7. He always does it barely before the race begins. But when he ran the New York City Marathon in November, he forgot. He ended up operation his fastest marathon ever, but nearly derailed his Olympic aspirations in the process.

"I always keep it in my shoe until the last instant but unfortunately I left it there," Keflezighi said. "I ran 2, 21/2 hours with it in my shoe. I felt it in Mile 1 and tenderness ‘Oops, it's not on my nose.
